Marketplaces play an increasingly important role in how consumers discover, compare and purchase products. As an Expert Global Marketplace Strategy, you will help shape and grow this strategically important business area across international markets and marketplaces.
 
You will combine marketplace expertise, commercial thinking and hands-on execution to identify growth opportunities, strengthen third-party marketplace capabilities and create measurable business impact.

Your mission

  • Shape and further develop MAM's marketplace strategy on Amazon and across other international digital platforms 
  • Identify growth opportunities, category potential, and commercial levers
  • Build scalable marketplace playbooks, standards, and best practices across markets
  • Strengthen third-party marketplace capabilities and support future expansion initiatives
  • Manage and challenge external marketplace partners, vendors, and agencies
  • Analyze pricing, margin dynamics, and category performance to identify commercial improvement opportunities
  • Define and monitor marketplace performance indicators such as vendor health, fulfillment quality, returns, and customer satisfaction
  • Translate marketplace performance insights into clear business recommendations
  • Build internal marketplace expertise and expand marketplace know-how across the organization
  • Collaborate closely with Digital Commerce, Marketing, Operations, and local market teams

Your profile

  • University degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in marketplace management, Amazon, e-commerce, category management or related digital commerce environments
  • Strong experience with Amazon and third-party marketplace models
  • Solid knowledge of marketplace economics, pricing, margins and commercial growth drivers
  • Experience managing external partners, agencies or vendors
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and align teams without direct authority
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach and strong execution focus
  • Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving capabilities
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to turn ideas into action
  • Excellent English communication skills

Our Offer

You will take on a high-impact expert role at the intersection of digital commerce, marketplace strategy, commercial performance and international growth.

For this position, the collective agreement for employees in the plastics processing industry provides for a minimum monthly gross salary of EUR 4.135,07 based on full-time employment of 40 hours per week. The classification will be made upon submission of the relevant documentation in employment group IV, employment group year after 10 years. 

Your actual salary will be discussed with you personally and will reflect your individual qualifications and experience. We do not settle for the minimum — and we are confident you do not either.
