As Expert Product Owner Digital Platforms, you will play a key role in shaping the digital backbone of our global commerce ecosystem. You will connect business needs with scalable technology solutions, strengthen product information and data foundations, and help build the platform capabilities supporting all our channels - from DTC, Amazon to marketplaces and digital operations.
 
You will work at the intersection of digital commerce, data, technology and business impact. In this expert role, you will translate complex and partly undefined business requirements into clear platform priorities and scalable implementation roadmaps and well-founded decision proposals. This role reports to the Director e-commerce. 

You will join at a time when the architecture is still being defined. This is a greenfield mandate, not an optimization role. You will act as an individual contributor alongside peers owning adjacent domains, collectively building MAM’s global digital commerce ecosystem from the ground up.

Your mission

  • Own, together with your digital peers, the evolution of MAM's digital platform ecosystem, starting with PIM, expanding into OMS, marketplace integrations, DTC infrastructure, and the data layer connecting them
  • Drive scalable product information, content and data foundations across DTC, Amazon, marketplaces, and digital operations
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical concepts, clear priorities and scalable implementation roadmaps
  • Establish data quality, governance and consistency across digital ecosystems, ensuring that platform decisions support operational efficiency, scalability and business impact
  • Shape platform standards and support scalable system architecture together with IT, external implementation partners and relevant business stakeholders
  • Steer technology vendors and implementation partners to ensure delivery quality, timelines and business impact and long-term platform fit
  • Develop well-founded decision proposals for platform investments, vendor selection and digital capability development
  • Support vendor evaluation, platform selection and structured decision-making for future digital capabilities
  • Align platform initiatives across Digital Commerce, Marketplace, Operations, IT and relevant country organizations
  • Identify dependencies, risks and bottlenecks across systems, processes and stakeholders — and drive resolution in a structured and solution-oriented way
  • Prioritize platform initiatives based on strategic relevance, scalability, operational efficiency and measurable business value
  • Ensure that platform decisions are linked to clear business outcomes and future growth potential and MAM´s overall digital commerce strategy
  • Shape and steer the implementation and integration of new systems and digital capabilities that enable scalable growth
  • Act as a key expert contact for digital platform topics across teams and actively build knowledge, standards and best practices within the organization

Your profile

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Digital Business or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, depending on education and career background, in digital product ownership, e-commerce technology, platform implementation or related fields
  • Experience with complex digital platforms, integrations and data-driven ecosystems
  • Solid understanding of digital commerce platforms, PIM, ERP, OMS, marketplace integrations or DTC ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of product data flows, master data quality, APIs, data structures and system dependencies
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable technical platform concepts and clear implementation priorities and executable roadmaps
  • Experience creating decision proposals for platform investments, vendor selection or digital capability development 
  • Strong ability to navigate complexity, interdependencies and uncertainty while making well-founded recommendations
  • Commercial mindset and ability to prioritize platform work based on business impact, scalability and operational efficiency and long-term value creation
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders in international and matrix-oriented environments
  • Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills and a high level of ownership
  • Ability to bridge business, IT and external stakeholders effectively and communicate complex topics clearly
  • Practical experience applying AI in digital commerce contexts, whether for automated content enrichment, data quality pipelines, catalog intelligence, or process automation — combined with the judgment to identify where it creates real leverage versus noise
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on approach and confidence in working in evolving digital environments
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English

This role offers a broad, cross-functional scope, high visibility and the opportunity to shape processes, standards and platform capabilities with lasting impact.

For this position, the collective agreement for employees in the plastics processing industry provides for a minimum monthly gross salary of EUR 4.135,07 based on full-time employment of 40 hours per week. The classification will be made upon submission of the relevant documentation in employment group IV, employment group year after 10 years.
 
Your actual salary will be discussed with you personally and will reflect your individual qualifications and experience. We do not settle for the minimum — and we are confident you do not either.
